J - Salvatore Ferragamo Varina Flats in Rosa Corallo

Who doesn't like this Varina, one of Salvatore Ferragamo's classic styles? I've been hunting them so long, of course with a good deal. This time, I couldn't pass it.

Let me tell you my experience with Shoescribe.com; where I got this pair from. Shoescribe is a part of Yoox.com; they specifically carry designer brand goods. It was the 1st time I ordered something from them. You'll get free shipping promotion when 1st signing up with your email. The shipment took about 5 days to arrive.

Color: Rosa Corallo (very true to salmon pink)
Price: $265 (What a great deal, compared to original $450)

Here is a closer picture:

However, here is the disappointment. It hurt my feelings (lol). They are not big, but WAY TOOOO BIG!

Then I noticed on the box, it says 6C. Yes, C! How disappointing it is! So, buyers, please be aware when ordering Salvatore Ferragamo shoes. If they don't say anything about width, I suggest you call the customer service before filling your credit card information. Even the length of it is awkward too, too long!

Here is the picture of my Vara pumps in 6B. They fit like a glove!

What else can I do? I packed everything back in the box, taped it and put on UPS label provided along with the package. Shoescribe will deduct $6.00 for shipping fee. *I'm crying.

Items I ordered are not absolutely that I like, but sometimes I order things online (free shipping, free return) just to see and feel the items. I normally keep them in 2-3 days to decide whether I really like them or not, possibility and frequency of using them...etc. Please welcome these items to my closet (hopefully!)

J - Urban Decay Lip Junkie Lip Gloss in Obsessed, Streak, Wallflower, Crush & RedLight

I'm so excite to share with you guys about this little magic. Here's the thing. I'm not a lip gloss person at all. I tried to avoid any product that is glossy, especially when it comes to lip products. The story is about a month ago, my lips were dry and I couldn't find the Vaseline bottle; I saw the Urban Decay sample gloss that comes with Naked2 Palette and put it on my lips. Of course, the color didn't flatten my lips much since my lips are pigmented. Then my Mr. came upstairs to look for his stuff and he kept looking at me. I was like "what's going on duhh" lol. He asked me if I put anything on my lips; he liked it and it looked kissable.

So I did a little research over the products and was thrilled to find out that UD carries a lot of colors. Moreover, this lip junkie got a lot of good reviews and high rate of recommendation. After days and hours, I decided to pick:
-Obessed
-Streak
-Wallflower
-Crush
-RedLight

Those colors I picked are not shimmer or glittery (I personally don't like sparkle or shimmer lips). Here are the swatches:

You can tell how glossy the product is!

I'm going to show the details.

Urban Decay Lip Junkie in  Obsessed

Urban Decay Lip Junkie in Streak

Urban Decay Lip Junkie in Wallflower

Urban Decay Lip Junkie in Crush

Urban Decay Lip Junkie in RedLight
Overall:
Among 5 colors that I picked, my favorite one is Obsessed, Crush and RedLight. Streak is somewhat transparent. I returned Wallflower because it makes my lips look very pale and dark; as I know, Wallflower is one of their best selling shades but no no for me.

My tip is apply some lip stain 1st, for example Benefit Liptint (review here), let it dry then apply this lip gloss, you will be amazed when it turns out.

Price: $19+ tax
Available at:

Sephora, Macys (almost 1300 reviews at Macys!), Beauty.com, Urban Decay website and other cosmetic stores
Pros:
-very moisturizing (I no longer use Vaseline)
-does NOT feel sticky or heavy at all (this is A+++)
-long lasting (about 2 hours)
-light fresh minty smell and sweet taste (I know it's not for licking lol)
-cap design is unique and chic
-color is pretty and true to what described
-no leaking out like other lip-gloss products
-vegan products (no test on animals)

Cons:
-price is not very affordable; however the quality is excellent.

Do I recommend it?: Yes Yes Yes!!!

J - CHANEL Rouge Double Intensite Ultra Wear Lip Colour #53 Coral Peach

Summer is official here with a lot of sunshine and heat too. We normally do not hang out at the mall during weekdays. I was browsing there with my Mr. to figure out my friend's bridal shower registry. Then he dragged me to the Chanel counter. The Sale Rep told me to try out this product. She called it "lip tint" because after 2 minutes, it completely stains your lips and the color doesn't stain his shirt if I kiss him lol. Well, lately, I'm very into lip tint.

I picked out this Coral Peach #53 right away. And I am very happy about how the color shows up on my lips. Very bright, very summer and cheerful.

One end is lip tint and the other end is clear lip gloss. You may want to skip this clear lip gloss step if you do not want to but personally, I think it really adds a nice finished look for your lips.
I recommend that you squeeze the brush against the bottle as pulling it out to control the amount of the product. I always start from the center of my bottom lip. Feel free to do any way that is comfy and easy for you.

Here is the swatch (I used natural light and I was inside)

I also try to compare the Benefit Chachatin:

In this photo, there is no difference expect the Benefit Chachatint is slightly darker.
To me, the Benefit Chachatint is more orange than the Chanel Rough Double Intensite Ultra Wear #53. The Chanel is little bit shimmer but not too much. And that is even better for me.

How gorgeous this Coral is!

After 3hrs of drinking smoothies and snacking, the color was still there but not as intense as when I just put it on

Overall:

Price: $35+ tax
Available at:
-department stores such as Nordstrom, Macys, Neiman Marcus,...etc
-Chanel website

Pros:
-rich and vibrant color
-great coverage
-very moisturizing (I do have dry lips; they do get gross after 2-3hrs of wearing lipstick if without vaseline!)
-very long lasting (See photo above!)
-feel free to kiss anyone without stain their cheeks or shirts! Yay!
Cons:
-feel little bit heavy for this 1st hour
-pricey, compared to other brands. Well, it's Chanel!

Will I buy it again?: Yes! And I will pick some unique colors than common shades since it is pricey ;)

L - Zara "Raffia Espadrille" Shoes

Hello Beauties,

What's new, I've found my perfect Spring/Summer shoes!! I have been hesitating for the longest time whether I should get it or not - gladly I did and I could never been happier (:

These are "Raffia Espadrille" from Zara. My impression when I first saw it on the website was that it reminded me so much of the Chanel Espadrilles that has been a phenomenon in the fashion world since last year.

One thing that keep me not so fond of the Chanel version is that they are "flat" flat shoes. I am a-heel- type of girl; I do wear flats daily but only with little pumps or platforms. I don't want to splurge on something that I barely touch. Yet, I will have to admit the Chanel Espadrilles are something to die for - a timeless piece. I mean, who doesn't love Chanel right?

These Zara Espadrilles have 3.5cm/1.38" height of heel/ platform; it's really decent for flat type shoes. What's sold me is the thermoplastic rubber sole that makes this pair standing out.

Compare to the Chanel, this version of Zara is a good alternative, not only for the price ( $49.90, you cannot beat this price for a high quality item :D), but also this pair is perfect for every day use, I can pretty much "abuse" it without feeling too "guilty".

(Ps: Oh-my California weather, you can never predict what it's going to be. Last week it was hot as freak; lately it turns gloomy, cold and rainy. Spring weather, where did you go?? lol)
